Adjust the Top Gate Limit Switch

8 Nov 2024

If you receive a notification that says "The limit switch on the top gate actuator timed out while closing," check the air pressure and the functionality of the gate. If the gate is uninhibited and the air pressure is correct, the limit switch needs to be adjusted or disabled.

To adjust the top gate limit switch,

  1. Ensure the top gate is closed.

  2. Used a small flathead screwdriver to loosen the screw of the limit switch.

  3. Slide the band behind the rivet to ensure the limit switch is as far down as it will go.

Limit switch.

  1. Tighten the limit switch screw.

  2. Use Mirus to open and close the top gate. Verify there is no longer a limit switch notification.

To disable the Top Gate Limit Switch

  1. Open Setup

  1. Tap H2 or H3 GrainGage

  1.  Tap Actuator

  1. Mirus opens the Actuator Setup screen on which you can configure settings for each actuator in the GrainGage.  Select Top Gate and change the settings so both OPEN and CLOSE limit switches are set to NO.
