Strip Mode vs Plot Mode on an H2-Single & H2-Twin GrainGage

10 Feb 2025

Description

The primary difference between Plot Mode and Strip Mode is; Plot Mode has one cycle per plot and Strip Mode allows for more than one cycle per plot.

Plot Mode is not an option on the H2 Classic GrainGage. This GrainGage always runs in strip mode.

Strip Mode on an H2 Single enables Trip on Weight (similar to an H2 Classic GrainGage).

Strip Mode on an H2 Twin enables the LEFT and RIGHT level sensors. Trip on weight is not available on a twin because of the LEFT and RIGHT holding hoppers.

Recommendations

HarvestMaster recommends using Strip Mode if you are unsure if the entire plot harvested will fit into the weigh bucket.

HarvestMaster recommends using Plot Mode when you know the entire plot harvested (for all the plots in the trial) will fit into the weigh bucket.

NOTE: The primary advantage of using Plot Mode vs Strip Mode is that Plot Mode will gaurantee the GrainGage will only cycle once per plot. Which can increase your plot to plot speed. Refer to the appropriate Mirus User's manual for further details: Mirus for H2 GrainGage User's Guide.
